Do signers need an account?
No. Each signer receives a private link by email and signs directly in the browser, on desktop or mobile. Nothing to install, nothing to register.
What does the audit trail record?
For every signer: when they opened the document, when they signed, the IP address they used, and their browser. The completed file's SHA-256 hash is recorded so any later change to the document is detectable.
How is this different from the Sign PDF tool?
Sign PDF adds your own signature to a file, processed locally in your browser. eSign sends a document to other people, collects their signatures by email, and tracks each signer's status — for when the signature has to come from someone else.
What do signers actually see?
A page showing the document preview, their name and email, a checkbox to consent to signing electronically, and the signature pad. They draw or type the signature and submit once.
Is it free?
The free tier is a one-time allowance of 3 documents with the full audit trail and completion certificate. Beyond that, credit packs start at $5 for five documents, Pro is $9 a month for unlimited sending with reminders, and Business is $24 a month for up to 200 signers per document with your company name on the signing page. Downloads on the free plan carry a watermark; any purchase removes it.
