By using amipdf.com (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service does. AmiPDF provides browser-based tools for working with PDF files. Most tools process files locally in your browser and never upload them. The eSign service is an exception: documents you send for signature are uploaded and stored on our server, and shared only with the signers you name, through private links.

2. Free of charge. The basic tools are free, require no registration, and carry no watermarks. We may introduce paid features for capabilities that carry real server costs; any such feature will be clearly labeled before you use it.

3. Your files and content. You retain all rights to files you process with the Service. For the local tools, we never receive, store, or transmit your files, and we claim no license to them. For eSign, we store and transmit your documents only to operate the signing workflow you requested, and remove them when you delete the document or close your account.

4. Acceptable use. Do not use the Service to infringe copyrights, violate applicable law, or attempt to circumvent document protections you are not authorized to circumvent (the unlock tool requires the legitimate password by design). Do not attempt to disrupt or overload the Service.

5. No warranty. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Documents are processed with industry-standard libraries, but we cannot guarantee error-free output; keep your originals.

6. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, AmiPDF shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

7. Changes. We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The current version is always available at this URL.

8. Electronic signatures. The eSign service provides a technical workflow for collecting electronic signatures: private signing links, signature capture, an audit trail, and a completion certificate attached to the finished PDF. It is not a qualified digital-certificate authority, and we make no representation that a signature collected here satisfies any particular legal requirement in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for confirming that electronic signing fits your use case.
