When to convert PowerPoint files to PDF
Decks for email, handouts for class, proposals for clients — a PDF opens the same on every device, while a PowerPoint file can shift fonts, ask for the right theme, or reveal speaker notes. Converting to PDF is the safe way to share a finished deck.

Is my file uploaded to a server?
Yes. Presentation conversion runs on LibreOffice on our server; the upload and the result are deleted as soon as you download, one hour at the latest. Tools that don't need a document engine all run locally in your browser.
Which PowerPoint formats are supported?
Modern .pptx files and legacy .ppt files, up to 50 MB per file. Password-protected presentations are not supported — remove the password first, then convert.
What happens to animations and transitions?
A PDF is a static format, so animations, transitions, and embedded videos are not carried over — each slide becomes one fixed page, which is usually what you want for sharing and printing.
Will speaker notes be included?
By default, no — slides only. This keeps the PDF clean for sharing; print a notes handout from PowerPoint itself if you need one.
Will the 16:9 slide size survive?
Yes. The PDF page matches the presentation's own slide size — widescreen decks export as widescreen pages, and older 4:3 decks keep their squarer shape. Nothing is letterboxed or cropped.
Is it free? Is there a limit?
Yes, free with no signup. Server conversions are limited per visitor per day to keep the engine fast — if you reach the limit, try again tomorrow.
