When to convert Word files to PDF

Because the converter runs a full document engine, Word details survive the trip: paragraph styles, headings, tables, footnotes, headers and footers, and page numbering. Is my file uploaded to a server?
Yes — Word conversion needs a full document engine, so .doc and .docx files run through our server. The upload and the result are wiped as soon as you download; the hard deadline is one hour. If that's too much for a particular document, our organize, edit and security tools all run purely in-browser.
Which Word formats are supported?
Modern .docx files and legacy .doc files, up to 50 MB per file. Password-protected documents are not supported — remove the password first, then convert.
Will the layout look exactly like in Word?
For typical documents — text, tables, lists, images — the layout and fonts are preserved well. Very complex layouts, exotic fonts, or heavy macros may shift slightly. If something looks off, tell us via the contact page.
What happens to tracked changes and comments?
Tracked changes and comments are not exported — the PDF shows the document as accepted, which is usually what you want for sharing. Accept or reject changes in Word first if you need a different state.
Do headers, footers, and page numbers carry over?
Yes. Running heads, footers, and automatic page numbering are rendered the way Word prints them — the small details that make a converted contract look finished rather than screenshotted.
