How to rotate a PDF in 3 steps

Straighten sideways scans and flip upside-down pages in seconds — permanently, in the file itself.

1

Upload the PDF

Drop your document into the box above. It stays on your device the whole time.

2

Pick angle and pages

Choose 90, 180, or 270 degrees, then select all pages, a range like 4-9, or odd/even pages only.

3

Download the result

Click Rotate PDF. The corrected document is saved with the new orientation built in.

Why rotate PDFs with AmiPDF

Fixed orientation, saved into the file — not just a viewer's temporary view.

Private by design

Processing happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared — ever.

No signup, no watermark

No account, no email, no limits. Your output comes out exactly as your files went in.

Precise page targeting

Rotate everything, a typed range, or just odd/even pages — perfect for duplex scans with mixed orientations.

Works on any device

The same fast experience on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS — no installation.

When to rotate PDF pages

Scanned documents rarely come out perfectly: landscape tables saved sideways, every other page from double-sided feeding upside down. Rotation fixes the file itself, so every reader — and every printer — sees it straight.

It all runs locally, which matters when the pages are contracts, ID scans, or medical paperwork.

Frequently asked questions

Why do pages look rotated in some viewers but fine in others?

Some viewers only rotate your temporary view. AmiPDF writes the rotation into the page itself, so the fix shows up everywhere — browsers, printers, phones.

Can I rotate only specific pages?

Yes. Type a range like 2,5-8, or choose odd/even pages — handy when a duplex scanner flips every second page.

Does rotation change page content or quality?

No. Rotation only updates each page's orientation attribute. Text, images, and everything else are copied byte-for-byte.

Can I rotate a landscape page to portrait?

Rotating turns content 90° on the same page size. To change the actual page dimensions, use Crop PDF after rotating.

Is the tool really free with no limits?

Yes. Rotate PDF is completely free, unlimited, and needs no account. Your browser does the work, so there is no server cost to pass on.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

Yes — scanned pages are just images inside a PDF, and rotation applies to them exactly like any other page.
