Why convert to HTML with AmiPDF

Markup you can actually work with.

Private by design

Processing happens entirely inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or shared — ever.

No signup, no watermark

No account, no email, no limits. Your output comes out exactly as your files went in.

Real semantic tags

Headings become h1–h3, lists become ul and ol — screen readers and search engines read them properly.

Works on any device

The same fast experience on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, and iOS — no installation.

When to convert PDF to HTML

Republishing a report as a web page, moving documentation into a CMS, or quoting a PDF in your own site — copying text out of a viewer loses the structure. An HTML export keeps headings and lists as real tags, so the content pastes into anything and styles like it belongs there.

PDF to HTML FAQ

What exactly do I get?

A standalone .html file: headings as h1–h3, paragraphs as p, and lists as ul or ol, wrapped in a minimal HTML document. The text is escaped, so nothing breaks when you open it.

Does it keep the layout, images, and tables?

No. This is a text-and-structure conversion. Colors, images, tables, and multi-column layouts aren't reproduced — you get clean, semantic markup without styling, ready for your own CSS.

Does it work on scanned PDFs?

No. The converter reads the text layer of a PDF. Scans are images with no text layer — run them through our OCR tool first, then convert.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device, and nothing is stored.
